Tatiana,

The fan club in question has contacted Graceland about becoming an official fan club. Rest assured, we investigate complaints and take action if we have a legal ground to claim. We almost never hear of the Lucy de Barbin story any more. Her claims have been publicly discredited and the large majority of the fans know that it is not true.

However, Ms. Barbin has a first ammendment right to say anything she wants, even if it is a total fabrication. The law does not protect a deceased individuals from slander because a deceased individual no longer has an interest in it.

Nevertheless, we do appreciate your concern. We find out about these type of things from dedicated fans such as yourself. We thank you for your support and we look forward to working with you.
