Tatiana,

Leslie has forwarded your messages to me and I am very sorry that her answers have not been to your satisfaction. However, she has stated to you the truth of the situation. In America, we have a law called "Freedom of Speech" under the first amendment of our Constitution. Unfortunately, Freedom of Speech is not always in good taste and some human beings don't mind what they say, do, or put in print if their is a chance of personal gain. I am trying to find a copy of the television show that was done here in the United States discrediting the Lucy de Barbin book. If I can locate it, I will mail you and the other 's president as soon as they have returned their papers. Please understand that we believe that the Elvis clubs have a right to their own opinions and beliefs but they also need as much information on the subject as possible to make a correct observation and conclusion. This correct information will be provided to them and I shall encourage them to weigh this info and then draw their own conclusion.

On behalf of Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, Jack Soden, myself, and the entire staff of EPE, we do appreciate your dedication to Elvis and we will (and do) support you and your club beliefs as long as you have the correct information pertaining to the subject that you feel so strongly about. However, we ask that you give us (EPE) the same respect. I promise we will let the club know how we feel about this situation and this book.
